This page shows how you can enable Consent logging used to record users consent’s.
Consent logging is the collection of how users to a website opt-in or out to the website collecting their personal data. This data can be used to maintain a history of how users have interacted with a site. It can also be used to discover trends and improve the number of opt-ins on the site.
How to enable Consent Logging on your website? #
The consent log feature in the cookie consent plugin allows you to track and manage user consent for cookies and other trackers on your website.
Consent logging can be enabled from WordPress Dashboard > WP Cookie Consent > Cookie Settings > Compliances Tab.

Once Enabled users consent’s will be recorded. Those can be viewed by visiting WordPress Dashboard > WP Cookie Consent > Consent Logs
The log provides detailed information about user data, including IP addresses, visit dates, countries, consent status, and proof of consent.
This information can help you ensure that your users are properly informed and involved in the data collection process, which is essential for GDPR and CCPA compliance.
Consent Status allows you to view the user’s preferences regarding cookies. This information will help you understand their approval status. It contains the following 3 options:
- Approved
If the user agrees to all the cookies, it means they are giving their consent for the website to use all types of cookies, including those for analytics, advertising, and other purposes. In this case, the status is “Approved.”
- Rejected
If the user decides not to accept any of the presented cookies, their status is marked as “Rejected.” This means they do not give consent for any cookies to be used, and they expect not to have their data or activity tracked or personalized in any way through cookies.
- Partially Approved
Sometimes, a user might selectively accept some cookies while rejecting others. The “Partially Approved” status indicates that the user’s consent is not uniform. They have approved some cookie types and rejected others, resulting in a mixed approach to cookie usage.
Additionally, it offers the option to download the complete log in CSV format.

The proof of consent PDF will have the following format:
